Suicide's easy, what happened to the revolution?

About Me

I take up space.
I rollerskate with a bunch of crazy bitches. I'm a proud, loud, obnoxious member of the Jersey City Bridge & Pummel.

Bud Light is my co-pilot. Jack Daniels makes me invincible, while stealing my short term memory. Margaritas are no way to start a week.

Watching Fraggle Rock as a child has made me the closet hippie I am today. I'm a dry-witted, sarcastic Jew broad. So I'm self-depricating too. Duh. I have no problem throwing on some polyester and heading out, but I'm pretty much a lame homebody.

My Interests

Watching, listening, playing, snacking, chatting.

I'd like to meet:

Fellow derby girls and boys who know how to wrangle derby girls. Canadians and Canadiaphiles welcome too. Anyone with a recipe for fun and poutine.

Music:

I like sleazy Rock. Primal Scream, Flaming Lips, Beck, The Black Crowes, The Stones, The Beatles, Black Rebel, are the favorites. Stuff with swagger. Music that makes me clap my hands against my will, and shake my ass.

Movies:

Velvet Goldmine, Moonstruck, Out of Sight, The Color Purple, Lock Stock, The Christine Jorgensen Story, My Blue Heaven, Zoolander, American Beauty, Cider House Rules (yeah it does), Bully, Goodfellas, Almost Famous, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead, Raising Arizona, Private Benjamin, I like pretty much all music biopics and documentaries. Anything with pedophilia, homo-eroticism, bare man-ass, children getting beaten, or a kicking soundtrack. A combination of all of those is tops.

Television:

Austin Stories was the best there was. The Office. Kenny vs. Spenny, Project Runway is TV crack. I like the usual suspects, but I don't watch any of it the same as I used to. Daily Show if I can stay up that late. And animal shows. And Wondershozen. And Nazi stuff.

Books:

I read a good deal, but whenver I get to this section I kind of clam up. I don't know why that is. But A Prayer For Owen Meaney is my favorite.

Heroes:

I love me some Heroes.

My Blog

Billy Corgan: the new Axl Rose?

What exactly makes this Smashing Pumpkins reunion a reunion?  I mean, in its last incarnation, weren't the only original members Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain?  So if D'Arcy and James I...

Red White and Fucking Blue

That's what I'm wearing today.  I'm so patriotic, it's amazing.  Yaweh bless America. This day is going by painfully slow, which gives me time to ponder some of life's great mysteries. ...

Nutbush City Limits

Ok, so some broad sang Nutbush City Limits last night on American Idol.  I thought said broad did an excellent job, BUT one thing really nags me. Can anyone hear this son...

I wish it was the sixties, I wish I could be happy...

I'm super antsy.  Maybe it's in the wake of having most of my stress lifted from me at the close of last week.  Maybe it's that I know I've been itching for some changes for a while now.&nbs...

This is the day that never ends

Jim Caviezel thinks my eggs rule!

I just saw a very disturbing commercial featuring Jesus himself, Jim Caviezel and Everybody('s parents) Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton.  It seems to be in response to the recent, and also ver...

Things I learned tonight

1. A half pitcher of frozen margaritas will both give me a headache while simaltaneously make me feel invinsible. 2. Drinking on "school nights" still makes me feel somewhat badass and cool. 3. Once y...

What the hell is wrong with me?

Why would it suddenly pop into my head that prior to Charlie Sheen and John Cryer starring in "2 and a half men" together, they had both been in "Hot Shots" together?  Who gives a shit? ...
