PHAT CAT - New Tune fe real !!!

!--- version invisible --- Phat Cat, est un artiste talentueux de la scène reggae genevoise, chanteur prometteur de sa génération. Il prépare actuellement son premier album dans le but de conquérir le marché de l'hexagone.
Né en France, le 7 novembre 1984 à la frontière suisse, d'une mère caribéenne (St-Maarten) et d'un père français.
Il débute par la batterie dés l'age de 11 ans. Dés lors, il suit des cours de solfège avec Erik Truffaz (Trompettiste - Bluenote) ceci pendant 5 ans.
La passion grandissante, aux alentours de 14 ans, il s'essaye au chant. Entre autre sur les hits de l'époque tels que Hotstepper de Ini kamoze, Informer de Snow, Bombastik de Shaggy, ou autre Roots Rock Reggae de Bob Marley... Logiquement, l'envie d'exprimer ses propres pensés, le pousse à écrire ses premières lyrics.
Peu après il participe aux ateliers de l'AMR (Genève), aux percussions pendant 2 ans. Atelier, a l'ambiance jazzy, réputé dans la cité de Calvin, pour ses jam’ et autres performances. Phat Cat, y a eu l'occasion de performer sur la scène Ella Fitzgerald, en tant que batteur.
Continuant a travailler ses tournures, il s'essaye sur différents riddim reggae, drum and bass, et développe son flow...Il côtoie et essaye de faire des apparitions sur la plupart des scènes alternatives locales.
C'est lors de l'été 2004, qu'il fera la rencontre de Djul du Yosh Sound, lors d'un sound system en plein air, à l'Embouchure à Versoix. Désormais, Phat Cat sera le singjay officiel de Yosh Sound. Ensemble ils préparent de nouveaux tunes, et performances. Ce sera l'école des soundsytems, en pur et dur, pour Phat Cat, qui accompagnera Yosh lors de la plupart de ses shows. Avec une résidence mensuel au Piment Rouge et a l'Arcade, c'est maintenant par dizaines que l'on peut compter ses apparitions.
Jimmy Jane, Ingénieur du son et ami, suggéra a Phat Cat, d'aller découvrir les vibes de la capitale du Reggae Kingston, ayant lui même des connaissances, sur place. En février 2006, Phat Cat et Djul, prennent leurs envol pour la Jamaïque.
Spanish Town Road - Kingston 13 sera leur point d'attache. Immersion dans le ghetto, le monde des sound system et du rythme endiablé de la production. Merci, à Andrew 'Bassie' Campbell, à Steve Tulloch et toute la Famille...

Dés son retour, Phat Cat, sortira un street CD de 16 Titres, essentiellement en Français, qui est diffusé principalement via le web, ainsi que de main en main.
Début 2007, il rejoint le nouveau label Skeud Diffusion. Sous lequel il prépare actuellement son premier album, cette fois ci principalement en Anglais, sortie commerciale prévu courant 2008. Since then, he took courses in reading music with Erik Truffaz (Trumpeter - Bluenote) this for 5 years.The passion growing, around his 14 years, he began to sing. Since that, Phat Cat is the official singjay of Yosh Sound. Together, they work on new tunes, and performances. This is the real soundsytem school. Phat Cat performs at most of Yosh sound shows. With a monthly residency at the “Piment Rouge” and “l'Arcade”, it's now by tens that you can count Phat Cat appearances.Jimmy Jane, sound engineer and friend, suggested Phat Cat to go discover the vibes of the Reggae capital, Kingston.
