Gli Ophelian Vendetta sono Gian (voce e chitarra) e Lea (chitarra e voce). Siamo una band in trasformazione, che cerca di costruirsi un’identità propria, proponendo una sorta di ibrido in cui atmosfere cupe, malinconiche e bizzarre di matrice gotica si sposano con l’attitudine del grunge. Siamo nati come trio di due chitarre e batteria, rinunciando volontariamente al basso in favore di un approccio più secco e minimale. Dopo aver cambiato due batteristi e aver registrato un demo in presa diretta abbiamo deciso di continuare come duo voce-chitarra, proponendoci in una veste acustica. Prima ancora di essere una band, Ophelian Vendetta è un forte legame, una profonda amicizia tra Gian e Lea, ed è soprattutto per questo che abbiamo deciso di proseguire solo in due.
Ophelian Vendetta is Gian (vocals, guitar) and Lea (guitar, vocals). Lately we’ve been through a lot of changes, and our aim is to build our own identity, a sort of hybrid with dark, melancholic and bizarre atmospheres, typical of the gothic culture, mixed with a grunge attitude. We began as a trio composed of two guitars and drums, with no bass to obtain a thin and minimal sound. After having changed two drummers and recorded a demo we finally decided to continue as a voice-guitar acoustic duo. Before being a band, Ophelian Vendetta is a strong tie and a deep friendship between Gian and Lea, and this is the most important reason why we decided to go on just the two of us.
