Attualmente unica tribute band italiana ai Rush attiva nel nord-ovest Italia. Gli XYZ si formano nel 2007, a due anni di distanza da una fugace apparizione live in Liguria che suscitò parecchi consensi. La band propone un fedele tributo al trio canadese Rush, ripercorrendo nella setlist i brani più famosi e apprezzati tratti dalla trentennale carriera dei musicisti, passando dai pezzi hard rock degli anni ’70, le pietre miliari dei primi anni ’80, i pezzi “elettronici†degli anni ’80-90, fino ai recenti successi degli ultimi anni, compresi i brani dall’ultimo full length del 2007, “Snakes and Arrowsâ€, coinvolgendo vari generi. I quattro musicisti hanno esperienza pluriennale sui palchi con numerosi concerti sul territorio nazionale. I membri del gruppo suonano anche con Zembus (prog metal, pezzi propri con date nel nord Italia, un EP registrato con Pier Gonella chitarrista dei Labyrinth e appena usciti col primo full-lenght) e Rockalibre (cover band pop-rock).

XYZ was born in 2004 thanks to Davide, bassist of the band and in love with the wonderful trio; the other members came from ZEMBUS, in which he played too. So this "side-project" started with energy and passion, and in a very little time a quiet long setlist is built, choosing the well-known songs of the over 30-year-old Rush discography. Just after 1 year the band takes a break due to other musical engagements, until the end of 2007 when XYZ restart to pay tribute to the fantastic t(h)ree(s). In 2008 there will be new tour dates, so stay tuned!
