Face Down Gloria Crown Trailer
Face Down Gloria Crown is an eclectic and surreal murder mystery/ghost story hybrid, a cinematic acid trip teeming with elements of film noir, Jon Waters kitsch, and Lynchian narrative. It's like a beautiful turn-of-the-century oil painting that was stolen from the Louvre by Pee-wee Herman and sold on the black market to the Manson Family, who collectively masturbated to it and spread their grimy seed all over its lush canvas.
The movie's vibrant visuals and eccentric personalities are complemented by a Grammy-winning soundtrack, featuring the triple-platinum single "Scandinavian Suicide Hustle," recorded specially for the project by Gram Rabbit. The mournful disco track accompanies a suicidal dance number that's sure to give the whole family a case of happy feet and inspire the kids to pop a Vicodin/Zoloft cocktail.
Face Down Gloria Crown is a product of the 48 Hour Film Festival National Film Challenge, and a labor of love for everyone involved. Written by Spence Fuller & Amy FioRito. Directed by the former, produced by the latter.
As part of the film challenge, we were required to incorporate three specific elements into the story. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for the following:
1.) A super ball 2.) A massage therapist named Coco Whitman 3.) The line "That's not a sin in my religion"
So sit back, relax and enjoy the show! Oh, and any feedback -- good, bad and ugly -- would be greatly appreciated. For grief counseling, call (803) 218-9988.
