I like meeting lotsa folks. Come on and meet me! I'd like you all to meet Cord too - go be our friends at myspace.com/cordmag. Tell me about your band. If I like it, you get to be in the magazine. Cool, huh?
And this guy. Who needs to know how to play an instrument when you have such sharp editing skills?
..
Lately i've been on a big french-music nostalgia kick, from around 96-98 or so when we had MusiquePlus pumped into our house on channel 35. I honed my french skills watching that all summer, and latched onto a few videos. I recall liking Indochine at the time. These guys have been around for a million years. The original song I knew of theirs was "Drugstar." this song came out a couple years before i knew what parties really were, and before i was even aware that people my age were having them. i mean, that was so... BAD! but i know i always thought that this video looked like fun. well, i had made out with a guy by then, i wasn't a TOTAL square haha. much the same appeal with Bush's "swallowed" video, the disaffected-wigged-out-attractive-but-skinny-teenagers totally appealed to me. i never quite grew into the mellow-destructive-drug party lifestyle. darn huh? mmm beautiful and damaged... -
..
Now I also found this pretty indochine tune featuring uber-gorgeous Canadian rock songstress Melissa Auf Der Maur. Awww. Painfully, stunningly beautiful. I'm putting in my bid now to be MADM in my next life.
So yeah - french people and disaffected/wigged-out/beautiful/damaged people are welcome as well.
That's all there is to it.
I like bands that make me want to dance, i like bands that make me sing, i like my friends' bands, i like dark bands, i like bands that make me think and bands that make me rock, i like bands that make me weep and bands that make me drunk. i like bands that make me take my clothes off, i like bands that make me lose control. no no, YOU make me lose control. are you a band? i hope so. whatever. i know music is like 95% of the reason you're here anyhow so share, lover.
sometimes. okay lots. i have my standbys, you know, the monty python and the holy grails, the labyrinths replete with slow-motion hoggle off-shaking, the princess brides, the harold + maudes. but if i see something i like... well... i'll like it. natch.
sometimes. family guy. who needs anything else? okay, hockey games, house + grey's. why wasn't my hospital doctor ever McDreamy?
too many. pink? sex + sunsets? the world i made for her (so sweet). and whats that other one i read that was sort of a modern day, smutty sound of music? the benefits of passion, that's the one
you! save me! dont forget the superhero booties.
