The Sunsound is born in Liverpool in 2006.
It is the product of the jointure of two young and inspired musicians: Stian Rafto and Abelardo Gómez. Stian Rafto is native of Norway and has a vast musical background, mostly inspired by the 60’s. His most significant project; other than The Sunsound; is Stian Rafto and the Small Movement. Abelardo Gómez comes from a different and very diverse musical background. He is from Mexico and his most significant project before moving to Liverpool was Silent Dogwood. Stian and Abelardo met at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) while studying a diploma course in Popular Music and Sound Technology. They started working together early in the year, recording and producing their own songs almost immediately. They plan on producing a concept album with the sun as the main theme. They have recorded two of the songs for this concept album at Sunsound Studios on their own paying acute attention to every single aspect of the recording process and the music itself. The album will hopefully be finished and ready to be released by June 2007.
