In the Summer of 2002, Wes Hutchinson and Casey Shea met in Nashville....they became friends. They went their separate ways but reconnected in the Fall of 2004 in New York City where they both began to pursue solo careers. Along came Andy Stocks from England in the Summer of 2006. Andy met Casey, Casey introduced Andy to Wes....and now we have a myspace page!
'Sundown have such an infectious sound! After one listen of the demo i was already singing along . They have such a fresh sound with anthemic chorus's mixed with chilled out catchy sounds! They are so powerful live too. The 3 harmonies in the vocals give their songs loads of depth and their sound is just generally HUGE!!!'
Fearne Cotton - BBC/NBC/Radio 1 Presenter
"What distinguishes Sundown (and much of the musical community sprung up around Rockwood Music Hall founder Ken Rockwood’s intimate Lower East Side venue) is its anachronism in the pop-culture strata. Sundown’s songs, while not derivative, are reminiscent of a hazy, lazy, bygone era before Pro Tools, drum loops, remixes or mash-ups. Grounded by acoustic guitars and lush harmonies and adorned with only the occasional harmonica or shaker, the band’s music sounds like something one would hear wafting from a front porch somewhere in Laurel Canyon circa 1974. They’re the Lost Boys of Crosby, Stills & Nash." - MTVNews.com
