WOW Factor, a band with firm Dutch roots, started in 2004 and is settled in the eastern part of Holland. Close to the German border, which gives them the advantage to play just as easily in Holland as in Germany or elsewhere across the borders. After a short period of rapid changes, they've seem to have found the perfect formation for their music with Berry on Bass, Vocals and various Guitars. Michel Florijn on Drums & Samples, Ron Hogeweg on Saxophone & Percussion and Ronald Gerritzen on Leadvocals, Piano & some Guitar.Flying V Paul Berens on various guitars and Gwen Lemmens on leadvocals/rap
THE MUSIC...
Ronald is the leadsinger and currently writes most of the material. His lyrics are more poetic than realistic, comical and cynical, romantic by nature, but also critical when it comes to certain social issues, but always with respect to the listeners. Subjects are the choices we have to make day by day...who is sane and who is not and why....the tv-way of life....the beauty of acting simple and straightforward....tragic, and wonderfull moments....all inspired by love, loving or leaving... The music is insprired by the eighties, sometimes complicated, but often simple and direct. Dynamics is the keyword, along with the right atmosphere in every song along with the visuals. Three voices, a contrabass, cajon, samplemachines, two saxophones, acoustic and electrical guitars, slideshows, bluetooth messaging..it all sounds promising doesn't it? Well, just visit them at one of their concerts and find out for yourself, maybe you'll find it too ...heart & soul.....the wow factor...
THE FUTURE...
WOW Factor is not just all about music, music is part of WOW Factor, they have a different approach to music in a sense that in the end it all comes together, the music and the lyrics of course but also the musicians, friends of the band, the visuals, photographs, videos and of course last but not least, most important the audience. Using modern ways to reach new audiences. The website is the start and finish. Why do bands make cd's with 74 minutes music, while the web allows them to do different? The music industry changes, bands change, concerts change, the way people listen to music changes. WOW hopes te be ready for the next revolution which is bound to come soon now and it won't be about pod,vod or skypecasting but about music, music and music alone....ROCK ON!!!
