About Me

Half the time I think of myself as an outsider. I don't feel like I've ever grown up or fit in. An anachronism perhaps?? People think I'm aloof but I'm really just socially retarded! I'm a Los Angeles native (North East L.A. to be exact) and live in the small town of South Pasadena with my wylde husband and my 11-year-old soccer-fiend daughter, and 14 year-old wacky goofball step-daughter.Savage Garage Punk, Psychedelic, Freak Beat, Soul Grooves, R & B, R & R, Surf Music, Bossa Nova, Exotica, Space-Age Bachelor Pad, Jazz, Soft-Psych, Sunshine Pop, Wall of Sound, Latin, Go-Go, and Film & TV music of the past 50 years has always been a huge part of my life starting around the age of 14 (1984...eek I'm old! F**k!) largely due to the fact that Rodney Bingenheimer turned me on - musically that is. I used to sneak out of my parents house to enjoy the Cavern Club and later the Anti-Club, too young for the Rave-Up. That was my scene. I wanted to be a Go-Go, garage band groupie queen bee! I've never grown out of that feeling.I enjoy Z-grade horror, sci-fi B-movies and independent film, beer, martinis and margaritas on the rocks - no slushy crap for me. I love to prepare and eat good food, love watching soccer, college and pro football. Vintage cars and motorcycles really knock me out. I love haunting vintage thrift boutiques, prowling the awesome Rose Bowl swap meet. I am fascinated by trash culture. I love the idea of travel (non-work related) but don't have much time to take long trips away, I love skaters and skateboarding - my brother Patrick is super sick at riding pools. I still want to take some time to learn to snow ski and pound the slopes like a speed demon. I love surfing and surf culture, bowling with bonzos, banging bongos, busting my gut, frolicking and meandering, occassional spurts of nonsense, random wackiness, and laziness, biking (when I can get a bike - since mine was stolen, damn bastards!) and exploring the surrounding cities. With a strong tolerance for pain - I tend to enjoy getting a full brazilian wax by a strong handed russian woman in Beverly Hills (who I swear does an amazing job ladies!), I also tend to be a mother nature freak-o who happens to love our two cats & two lovebirds, I enjoy daydreaming under big old oak trees. I have a somewhat goofy, twisted sense of humor, sharp wit, terrible memory, and a high appreciation for lowbrow/outsider art, music, literature, films, and culture. Oh, and say what you will, I really couldn't give a rat's ass what you or anyone else thinks of me.
