BANDS send me an intro A) describung your musical style, B) basic influences, and C) how you feel you can change the music industry. if you can't do that, i won't even bother to look at you. i don't care if you end up becomming the next Motorhead.
People send me a message A) describing who you are, B) how you found me, and C) why you feel i should add you to my friends list. and it needs to be something more than just, "Because I'm cool."

delete your profile and go back to whatever AOL chatroom you came from. i'm not here to collect friends. most of the 300+ people on my friends list are people i've A) known personally for many years or are family members, B) people i've met In Real Life and would like to keep in contact with, or C) seem somewhat interesting to me AND have some common interests.
now, just because i have some band that plays "Indie" music, doesn't mean that I'm THE BIGGEST INDIE FREAK KNOWN TO MAN! no, it just means that i listened to 30 seconds of a song on their profile page and liked it enough to add them. if you're some desperate chick trying to make a buck, find another John. if you're one of the 10 people who just tried to add me and A) had no photo or B) were some chick i have NOTHING in common with, i'm sorry you're too stupid to know any better.
if you're someone who sent me a message saying you thought my profile was cool, or tried to add me because of the same and i never responded in any way, i appologize. i've looked at some profiles of people/bands that interested me but due to a lack of time or great desire to spend in front of a computer monitor, i never did. don't take it hard. i'm really that much of a dick, just not intentionally towards you.

people who aren't fake and have to hide behind a "character".
having an alter ego is one thing. letting it consume you whole is another. so if you like music, aren't affraid to dance in public (even if there's no music) and know how to have a good time without alienating your closest friends, then you're who i want to meet.
