About Me

Watch this short film at FudoMouth.net!

FudoMouth is a fluidly nomadic net project focused on cultivating a collectively spirited, non-commercial and collaborative environment for creative exploration. Our site is a nucleus where we host text, images, music, links, strange outposts -- and we're continually interested in connecting with minds, hosting material, and working the net to diversify our perception and recalibrate the collective unconscious... Or something like that. "...sponging up the given dungeon's functions as opposed to art historians absorbed in sad assumptions..."

My Interests

...manifestos and tangents, the ergonomics of awareness inhabiting the data shoals, building pyramids out of pebbles and lighting shipwrecks for smoking from the magnified mirror lens of the ocean's buttered-up starbelly, digging the gundpowered kegs of dreamcrust from awakening eyes, the long fuse of spine sputtering golden and snaking toward the hot-tin twin rails, stock-market analyists on the edge of their seats frying eggs on their foreheads drinking coffee one suger two motor oils please, good morning strange calamity, where were we?

Shklovsky defines defamiliarization as making the familiar strange, and the strange familiar. He talks about an economy of perception, about how normal perception is budgeted, limited, filtered, in order to make functional living and survival possible. Defamiliarization, then, is a process of removing the tyranny of familiar meaning from things and returning to them their actual state of radical truth in continual becoming and possibility, what Baxter calls "truth caught in midair" -- truth glimpsed half-naked through the lighted window of the iris...

Liberation:

01. DE-CONDITIONing and de-programming all violent, limiting, self-absorbed scripts that have been imprinted by culture and society; breaking down all negative habit-patterns in one’s individual thinking and perception.

02. TRANSCENDing both personal and social conditioning, and directly perceiving the chaotic harmony and limitless possibility inherent in the underlying fabric of reality...

03. RE-CONDITIONing the mind by integrating experiential wisdom and actively cultivating new patterns of positive thinking, critical perception, compassion, openness, honesty and integrity.

04. EMBODYing wisdom and compassion in living action, by sharing vision and helping others to find their own pathways to liberation. Life as art.

Any activity, when pursued with awareness and intention, can potentially actualize all of these aims simultaneously, such as meditation, psychedelic exploration, travel, sport, data-surfing, art, sex, activism, dance, education, creative play. So naturally we like all those things...

The revolution of everyday life.
-----

I'd like to meet:

We will not simply sew up the conflicts between faith and skeptism, the stones and the stories, the incandescence of the absolute and the mundane absurdity of an everyday life growing more bizarre and frightful by the minute. Instead, these tensions and conflicts become dynamic and creative forces, calling us to face others with an openness that does not seek to contol or assimilate them to whatever point of view we happen to hold. By replacing the need for a common ground with an acceptance and even celebration of our common groundlessness, the network path might creatively integrate these gaps and lacunae without always trying to fill them in.
