Small Blues Trap usually plays Chicago blues, but the band
is always trying to exceed the traditional blues scene and experiment
by mixing other elements in its sound.Basic influence is comming from : Willie Dixon,Howlin' Wolf,Little Walter,
Albert King,Muddy Waters,John Lee Hooker,Sonny Boy Williamson(1&2),
Jimmy Reed,T-Bone Walker,Elmore James,Tampa Red,Son House,
Robert Johnson,Bo Diddley,Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan,
John Campbell, Paul Butterfield,Peter Green,Tom Waits,Captain Beefheart,
Jimi Hendrix,Rory Gallagher,Led Zeppelin,The Doors...and many many more!In October 2004, S.B.T. recorded a CD containing songs that
constitute their common hearings, as well as their own three compositions.From December 2004 until April 2005, S.B.T. recorded 12 new songs
in a new CD with the general title ''Our Trap''.
This album was presented by the cultural radio of ERT3 (95,8) in
Thessaloniki . [''Stories from vinyl'' with Elias Zaikos (guitarist of
Blues Wire-one of the best blues bands in Europe )]The S.B.T.'s participated with 2 songs in the musician competition of
Virtual Studio magazine, yielded them the first reward.After the addition of George Poulos on drums S.B.T. played many
gigs in various cities of Greece.
Small Blues Trap always perform with a lot of feeling, expressive
harmonica, guitar and vocals, driving real old vintage sound!The Summer of 2006 found S.B.T. on studio. The new album of Small
Blues Trap is called ''Crossroad Ritual'' and it is distributed by
ANAZITISI RECORDS.(www.anazitisirecords.com)''Crossroad Ritual'' has been composed and speaks to people that
have sold their souls for their passions.
Listening to the CD, images of all people devoting their lives to the
blues coming in your eyes like a haunted movie.
You can listen the whispers and the screems of the night in the
lonely and dark roads of big cities.
Wellcome to the show ....... where the soul, love, obsession, memories
and passions are mixed together creating an intuitive scenario
