REPRESENT WITH RESPECT!
Don’t speak about, be about it. If you’re real with me then I’ll be real with you. If you’re fake with me then I’ll still be real with you. In this world that we live in. there are three types of people; those who complain about things, those that observe things happening, and those who make things happen. I make things happen.
I am an individual of many worlds. At times I can be ghetto and at other times and I can be very articulate. I can get down and fight and the same time I can write essays. I love hip hop and I love Shakespeare. I can be grimy and I can be clean. Bottom line is I love art of all types. A lot of people walk around like their shit don’t stink; too stuck to talk to people because they are different or perhaps you consider yourself an intellectual like me and think you’re too good to converse with people with a lower education. The fact of the matter is I learn from everyone; from the white collared business man reading the Sunday times at Starbucks to the 20†inch riding weed smoking gangsters down the block. I am a student of all things at all times.
Right now I am currently working on two projects and I am senior perusing a bachelor’s degree in English at CSUSB. The first project that I am working on is my debut instrumental album set to be released in June of 2007. This album will feature anywhere from thirty to thirty-five joints of various styles. What I am doing on this album is something that has never been done before. (The concept of this album is disclosed until its release) The second project that I am working on is the upcoming Forensic Abolitionist album. Jl and Antalyzah are at it again but this time with all star production from Curtisy, C swift, yours truly and others. I am all about pushing the envelope in everything I do. Every artist has role models and influences but it is up to the individual to be creative and innovative. “Every track that I make is a ten period.†I drive the wagon that people will jump on; right now there are a few passengers but after this album drops there might not be room. For all you emcees out there only holler at me if you think you are a ten. I am not too good to work with anyone but I know that I am dope, I am experienced enough to know what I am doing. For the record; those of you wondering what category I fall into? The answer is none. I am not Jiggy and at the same time I am not a backpacker.
The primary influence in my life by far is Hip Hop. Hip Hop has been my father figure; most of my values stem from the Hip Hop culture. Hip hop has taught me about whom to trust, about relationships, about politics, about education, about drugs, you name it and Hip Hop has it. By far the most important thing that Hip Hop has taught me is how to be positive. Often times we go through bad experiences hoping it would come to an end however these experiences are necessary. With out the sour how will you know what sweet is? I respect all people including women. I don’t believe in objectifying women; I believe that women have more power then men do because they have what every guy wants. Having what every guy wants allows women to have leverage over them. Examples are when women make men buy then jewelry, clothes, food etc. For the record I don’t blame chicks that play guys. Ladies getting what you want out of a dude only evens out the playing field of gender equality. If you are a guy and you get played then open ip your eyes.
Lastly I’d like to encourage people to bring new ideas to the table. I know it sounds cliché but your mind is the most powerful thing that exists. You make this world don’t be passive.Much Love and Peace Arkitek,“The mind is the most terrible force in the world principally in this that it is the only force that can defend us against itself. The modern world is based on thought.â€
