Marvin Pentz Gaye, Jr. was Born April 2, 1939 in Washington DC. He died on April 1, 1984 in LA, California. He was a great singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, keyboard, synthesizer, drums, and a dynamic record producer. Marvin was one of the greatest soul singers of all times.

What's Goin' On

Upon leaving Motown, Marvin's first Columbia album, Midnight Love, which included Sexual Healing, sold two million copies. In 1983/Feb 23 his excellent work on Sexual Healing won him a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male; and one for Best Instrumental Performance. In 1987, Marvin Gaye was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
