About Me

Ostara is a diverse entity in the world of music. She started her carreer behind the sound board in 1997 as the sound person for then Oklahoma City Band The Hungr. She learned the basics in quickly when the band had troubles with their previous sound man and after the first show was asked to work with the band for their local shows on a regular basis. Not long after starting work with the band she met future business partner Dj Mickey and in 1999 they started up the mobile entertainment company Spin The Kitty Entertainment. As a company they started out djing private parties, party promotions, and branched into live sound including national artists such as Patrice Pike (indy) and Bitch and Animal (Righteous Babe Records). In 2005 Ostara found a new love of underground dance music by a chance meeting with Oklahoma City Oklahoma City based Djs Dezire and Kelly XO (aka Kelly Trance). She started going to every venue she could find and listening to other djs and absorbing as much of the music culture as possible before taking everything she'd seen and learning the craft from a different perspective. In January 2006 she found an open decks night and asked for a spot. A few weeks later she was asked to by Iconoclast Crew (the premiere all female dj crew in the midwest) to guest spot with them. Soon after she began playing guest spots through the Oklahoma City area and Oklahoma State as a guest of Iconoclast Crew and on her own. By midyear she had a part time residency at Club Rox. In January 2007 she was asked to become a member of Iconoclast Crew. An honor she gladly accepted.Ostaras diverse musical tastes lead more often than not to sets that are infused with a wide variety of house, breaks, and trance. Ocassionally even electro and hip house and breaks.Over the past few years Ostara has continued her work producing commercials for radio and tv with STK, begun the process of learning to remix and is currently producing the soundtack for the movie "The Adventures of Trent Hondo" and holding a residency at The Sidecar in Oklahoma City.As always, Thanks for listening.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
