Band Members: “Bec Paton is one of the few Australian DJs who can do more than string together an hour’s worth of good tracks” (Cyclic Defrost magazine).

“Bec really does approach DJing quite differently. She doesn’t even describe her music the way most DJs do, in terms of labels and genres. Instead, she talks of colour and texture. So mixing records is like feeling ‘two fabrics sitting next to each other’ to find the complementary elements to interact with the next track” (The Canberra Times).

"I enjoyed the next act more than the headliner. Maybe it was due to my complete lack of exposure to the mega-ultra-cool genre of dubstep before this moment, but Bec Paton’s set absolutely blew me away. Glitchy, bassy and just downright cool, I couldn’t help but get my ‘groove awn’ (sorry dancefloor) and was fixated for an hour in some kind of dubby, wacked-out hypnotic trance. All hail dubstep, the next genre to make you feel like the coolest mo-fo on the planet!” (InTheMix)

“We arrived to find the lush sounds of ex-Canberran Bec Paton doing a warm-up set that... would have been more than enough entertainment for one night. Her sublime mixing of records that would pose problems to the most talented of selectors formed a beat-laden, diverse, bass-y and beautiful introduction to the night ... and seemed like a tribute to all Krush is about: gorgeous sounds juxtaposed by drums-of-death.” (BMA Magazine)
