Blues/Rock with an Attitude!

About Me

I am a solo artist now. After many years in my band VooDoo Chile I decided to go it alone on this one. I primarialy play guitar & do vocals on stage. On this C.D. I actually play all the instruments. It was nice writing for layers of instruments. Mr. C. helped me out on drums on "Back Before The Day" & "About Me" all the rest is all me. I play a mix of rock styles and forms all combined with the blues. The fusion of rock and blues comes from my early influences being rock like Led Zeppelin & Jimi Hendrix & Eric Clapton, Rik Emmett, Eddie Van Hallen & Randy Rhoads & other rock of the late 60's through the early 80's untill I listened to Stevie Ray Vaughn & then Buddy Guy. When I heard Buddy Guy and first saw him play it changed my life. He was so real about his music. You just knew he ment every word he was saying. He felt every note he played on the guitar. His music was alive. I knew I had to be a part of this music. I became utterly afflicted with the Blues. I had found my music. This music struck a chord deep within me. I found a music that let me express myself instead of displaying my techniques. I became a student of the Blues & came to know great players like B.B. King & Albert Collins and so many more that I could fill this page with players worth noteing. Rock continued to influence my music with such fantastic musicians like Joe Satriani & Steve Vai keeping Rock alive but the Blues remains predominant in my style. So what you have here is my Enigma. My mystery, if you will. You will see many faces of me in this music you decide what to call it.
