~~~~~~~~~~Paper or Plastic????~~~~~~~~~~~
Each year, at least 10 MILLION TREES are cut down
to produce the 10 billion paper grocery bags
used annually in the United States alone.
The US goes through 100 billion plastic shopping bags
annually. And estimated 12 MILLION BARRELS OF OIL
are used to make those bags.
~~~~~~~~~~REUSE~~~~~~~~~~
Take a canvas or mesh bag to the store with you.
Keep it by the front door,
always grab it on the way out.
It will become a habit very quickly.
Get off all those annoying catalog mailing lists. Billions are wasted every year on those things that go straight into the trash bin. Billions of trees, billions of dollars, billions of hours in creating them. Get off the catalog lists!
