About Me

AGE: I will be 469 years old this year in September.
BLOOD TYPE: My blood type can only be represented in binary.
I love anime and video games and taco bell. I have diabetes. My legal documentation says I'm 24 years old. But in reality, I am quite a great many centuries older then that Lol. What I lack in depth as a musician, I more then make up for in cheap gimmicks. This is all my original art, music, and what have you. I wrote my first song when I was 16, the year I got my first stringed instrument. A gift from Philip II the King of Spain at the time. The first piece of music I ever wrote was about the movie Titan A.E.
Hearken has been me. Hearken IS me. It is the story of my journey to becoming a recording artist. It is also my way of tying up the past. One final low-fi/low-tech/gheto-rig/doITyrSlf shadow before the future dawn. I've been working for the past year on a new album which will be called "Morning Watch" and is a tribute to a great mentalist and clear thinker, who wrote many books in the forties and fifties named Watchman Nee. Sounds Like: Getting off from school early on a Friday in September. Going home to play Ocarina of Time on your Nintendo 64 then getting a call from that girl who you have a crush on but you’re too much of a wimp to actually pursue. Then spending the whole cold and smeary day indoors playing Resident Evil. Then you get a ride to Taco Bell and go home watching the leaves fall as you drive, and drink some Dr. Pepper before heading out to the under pass where the train tracks start. You start walking down the tracks. It looks like rain, but your body has become atrophied from lack of exercise so you're like, screw it, and go anyway. You walk a couple hundred yards to the part where the tracks begin to bend into the secluded forest. It's actually starting to sprinkle a little bit and night is coming but you keep moving anyway. The rain picks up some, then a little more, then it gets out of hand. Running down the tracks soaking wet you see a small yellow reflective square. There will be shelter from the rain in the large cement storm drain under the tracks. It's getting a little colder and it's dark as hell, you're starting to get spooked but at least it's dry down in that slightly elevated storm drain. You go home and then your Mom tells you she's getting divorced and you're like, "Awesome, what's for dinner?"

HEARKEN a Seth Fentress best of CD. Contains 18 tracks from over five different albums spanning across nearly 10 years of recordings done in my room and people's basements and garrages.

Hearken represents the summation of all the work it has taken for me to reach my goal of becoming a professional recording artist. Hearken will be my final self produced work. I always thought it would be funny to have a "Best Of" before my first actual main stream CD was released. LOL. Listen as I progress and learn from my mistakes. A lot of this album is ruff, because I do all my own recording, and sometimes through out the years, that meant an $8 mic from Wal-Mart and pirated software from the internet Lulzies. But my message is one of continued self improvement. To show you that your greatest assets are not your abilities alone but your passion and resolve. Be open to change and follow your heart. Never give up!!! Thanks,
-Seth

"Somewhere between falling asleep at 2:30 in the morning on a stranger's couch while the dim remoteless t.v. drones in and out, blurring your subconscious with images of Roseanne and the 1927 film Metropolis lies the birthing place of accidental genius. I call this place Film Sleep."
