Bio:
The last 6 months have been a busy time for Chris in the electronic music industry. Not only has he been in the DJ traveling circuit mixing and spreading his sounds from East to West Coast (traveling over 100,000 miles just within the last 5 months) but he has been doing it playing in the largest clubs in the US and Europe. Playing clubs like Sub Club-Glasgow U.K., Renaissance-London U.K., Cassiopeia-Berlin Germany, Crobar-NY, Multiple venues at the WMC-Miami, RubySkye-SF, Empire-LasVegas, Element-Seattle, On Broadway-SD, Paradise Club-Mykanos, Cancun-Mexico and many other large clubs throughout the world giving Chris a dominate stage to showcase his unique abilities as a multi-talented performer. Dancers across the US & Europe can’t get enough of his sets and are requesting his sounds more than ever. “I try to put as much energy into my sets as possible. I feel the music as if I’m on the dance floor and I like to give my party goers everything I’ve got. I believe I do that."
And he does! With a growing reputation of throwing down party-rocking tracks, killing it with sick battle scratching sounds during uplifting peak hour moments and hands in the air flawless mixes, has many of the industry critics gaining much enthusiasm and respect. “DJing for over 12 years now has really started to pay off. I was at a time in my life where I thought this wasn’t going to last and I was going to move into something else but I’m glad I didn’t.”
Growing up in San Luis Obispo County, Ca in a small town of Morro Bay, even at the early age of preschool, Chris would play the sing along records during music time. Who knew it would become his meal ticket into the 21st century. With a love of music, Chris would spend hours playing tapes, records, and listening to the radio. Working part-time as a radio DJ, Chris was able to experience a wide variety of music. After buying his first pair of turntables, within a matter of months, Chris landed weekly and monthly events around the county playing for clubs, special events, weddings, ect. Eventually it turned into a lucrative business. Thus Recess Productions was founded which after time became a serious staple in the electronic music scene on the central coast.
With the experience under his belt throwing events and playing numerous parties, promoters across the states took notice. Playing in some of the largest crowds around the US & Europe, Chris has been seen playing along side DJs like Eric Prydz, DJ Delicious, Steve Angello, Claude VonStroke, Dave Ramirez, Mark Knight, Richard Dinsdale, DJ A.M., Donald Glaude, Martin H, DJ Dan, John Acquaviva, Doc Martin, Grand Master Flash, Deep Dish, Christopher Lawrence, D:Fuse, DJ Irene, Gabriel & Dresdon, Bad Boy Bill, Mark Farina, BT, Benny Bennassi, Tall Paul and many others.
The next generation of new music and new sounds are why many people are looking at Mr. Rogers. Recently signing up with World Wide DJs in London, a Germany tour last November, U.K. tour last December, China Tour last February, Australia tour last April, and Greece tour this last July, have kept Chris busy with more overseas tours in the works.
What helped was his important focus on production in the studio. Producing “Above & Beyond” the summer of 06 was the benchmark for Chris’ producing career. His first real track landed in the top 10 across the European dance charts for the month of August selling over 5,000 records.
Licensing artists tracks in specific areas, working with major record labels, maintaining great relationships with distributors nationally, internationally, and networking with a variety of established producers, has given Chris the unique abilities to work with great people and push his own style.
With the world wide attention from his first release, new releases are coming out soon with high-profile producers like Chris Lake, Steve Angello, Timo Mass, and a few others. “I really feel fortunate to be in the position I’m in and I’m glad people understand my music. It’s been a real honor meeting people that are pushing the envelope in the dance scene and an honor working with some of the pioneers in the electronic genre. It’s really exciting!”
It's rest assured that the future of electronic music is in good hands with the help of Chris’ involvement. Look out for new songs coming out soon and for tour dates in your area. The rest is history and the best is still to come. For more information visit: djchrisrogers.com.
