About Me

Sorry but I must start my profile off with a statement. If you are a band who wants to be my friend- you must put the code " 123" somewhere on the request. Thanks.
Born in the Southern states of the US in the 1960's, I was always struggling to keep up with what was going on outside my little country town with music and films. I have always tried to play catch up with the arts by wanting to understand & take in all that I could.
Modern music and film history is what I love.
In the late 70's I was ' the only punker in the village." By the 1980's I had my own local radio show playing all kinds of tunes. Next I did some work in film until I started working in TV where I work today.
I enjoy all kinds of music, but prefer synthpop, futurepop and dance-industrial. I like indie and local music. I love all kinds of films from old silent films to modern indies. Movies from other countries are an important way to learn about how the world around us is thinking.

Why a podcast about Dead People?

Maybe reading about death of someone who I admired sound morbid to you but I like knowing a little more about that person and what they did in their lifetime. Everyone has a piece of this puzzle called life.
Think of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life." Everyone has an affect on other people's life. Even their deaths have the effect. Their are so many people who have touch my life and some I will never know.
I once had a job as a floral delivery boy. I had to go to a different town to deliver to a funeral. There I saw that the local theatre had a film I wanted to see. I came back and was friendly with a concession girl. We later dated and she became my wife of over 25 years with 3 kids. If that person had not died, I never would have met my wife and had my family.
Mainly what I hope to cover is people who were celebrities in a minor or forgotten role of life. I 'll let the major media handle the Lady Di and Ronald Reagan stories.
I hope that you may read or hear a story of someone whose life touched yours.
