About Me

"An Absolutely shining talent..." - Ace from ’The Damo & Ace Show / Skunk Anansie, Juice FM’
"Andy Knox dominated the stage and left us literally speechless" - Reading Evening Post
"The magic of the music comes straight from Andy’s voice; a voice that will capture your attention from across the room and draw you straight in..." - Susan Ford Music Reviews
There are exciting times ahead as I have started my course @ BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music) and ’Feel Me’ is being used on the latest Jack Wills Clothes advert (www.jackwills.com). I’ll be keeping everyone up to date with gigs and new releases. Keep Believing!

“Knox is at his strongest in the lower registers where he inflects a familiar teenager-in-his-bedroom lyrical territory of regret and insecurity with a lived-in mellow huskiness of someone much older…” - NJM
Having been playing and gigging since the age of 12, the word ’entertaining’ comes naturally to Andy Knox. Still at the age of 20, this Scot was driven on by a musical and creative family as well as by artists such as REM, Squeeze, Phil Collins and the ‘Brit-Pop’ era of the 90s. Armed with his acoustic guitar, Knox has to date (March 2007) written and recorded three albums worth of songs, some produced in his bedroom at boarding school and some newer recordings done properly. Songs of love, anger, reason and thought may initially put this youngster into the clichéd bracket of a "depressed" singer/songwriter, but he is much more than that....
"BELIEVE THE HYPE!"
From October 2006 to Summer 2007, Andy Knox plugged away in his adopted hometown of Edinburgh, playing in venues such as Cabaret Voltaire and other main spots in the area. Appearing on local radio stations, Fresh Air FM, Leith FM and even having Jim Gellatly on XFM Scotland play his debut single ’Feel Me’ a handful of times. Having racked up support slots with Ocean Colour Scene, Sandi Thom, Jack McManus, Rubylux and The Hedrons things are looking up for Andy. Having moved to Brighton, Andy was forced to find new recruits for his live band and has done so with the addition of Chris Fraser (bass) & Chris Yeomans (percussion) they made their live debut @ the Brighton Barfly on Monday 12th of November...
It is in fact his live show that has made Andy Knox a household name in Edinburgh and many parts of Scotland. The aim now, to conquer the South!
These are indeed exciting times for this youngster (and his session musician friends), and “it comes as no surprise that his potential has already been spotted. Remember the name.”
"A young star with great potential to develop into Scotland’s next big thing..." - Fresh Air FM
