WINGSY

About Me

Like most, Melbourne singer/songwriter WINGSY honed his craft by belting out tracks, emulating the artists that inspired him. Very early on WINGSY teamed up with Melbourne guitarist Robert Moody and the two entered the recording studio to track the first of WINGSY’s original material. Being a seasoned veteran, Robert helped develop WINGSY’s talent in writing, teaching him invaluable lessons on dynamics and how to sell a song in the studio and live. A few years later WINGSY met and instantly connected with virtuoso guitarist Steven McLeod. WINGSY’s intensity and edge, linked with Steve’s passionate and inspirational fusion playing style created an explosive new sound that got the Australian Music scene talking. Opportunities started emerging from labels interested in developing WINGSY’s sound and even though some great foundation work was done with Indy label Mustang Records in Australia, WINGSY set off to develop his music in the States. WINGSY started getting interest from major music Managers in Los Angeles but it wasn’t until he met Mr Robert Celestin Esq. did he feel he had met the right person to help take his music and career to the next level. WINGSY specifically sought out Mr Celestin due to his ties as the Vice President of UPTOWN Record NYC and his success in launching and maintaining the careers of such high calibre artists as City High, Mary J. Blige, P. Diddy and JODECI. On returning to Australia WINGSY embarked on a new solo album with production house BAM and PLW. During pre-production WINGSY assembled a group of hot young musicians comprising Italian guitarist Eric Schenoni, Canadian bass guitarist Keane Scheffel, metal drummer Steve Byrnes and Rock guitarist Jimmi Hay to track and record this new project. The diverse group of musicians became a band and OUTLAW was born.
