The Speeding Bullets

The saga of the Speeding Bullets began by the end of the year 2000. Bruno Drunkabilly Malo, Joey Rebolla, Speeding Nakata, Rhombic Rudy (ex-Mad Rats) and Johnny Paiva (ex-Pinks) started to play in a little garage near Coimbra, Portugal. This was the pure beginning of the Speeding Bullets.After some changes in the bands line-up , the SB made their first appearance in a nearby rocknroll festival. At this moment, Rudy and Paiva had left the band, and Trincas and Alex Relvão took their places.As time went by, Trincas also left the band to give complete attention to his computer activities and to The Mad Rats. The second drummer, Alex also left the band in 2003 and it becomes a quartet when Luis Duarte (a before great supporter and friend of the band) started playing drums. Malo (ex-vocalist) becomes a great contrabass player and Rebolla joins Malo singing.During 2004 Nakata went off to Norway for a couple of months, and André Lemos (ex-69ers) played with the band for this time.We can call the sound the Speeding Bullets make a mix of psychobilly, surf and good ol rockabilly, with a lot of influences from B-Movies and rude productions.
