WARNING:
I write dark fiction, especially crime and do so (or try to) in such a way as to intimately involve those who read what it is I write. I am a bare knuckle writer and have NO intentions of ever going “light” on a reader, regardless of who they are or who they think they might be. While some of what you might come across may well be “quaint” and rather “tame,” I forewarn you this WILL NOT ALWAYS be the case! When I write something nothing is off limits. I do not and will not cow tow to any one individual’s belief as to what is or is not acceptable material to be seen in print OR that the chosen perspective in which I choose to tell said story in is objectionable. If you are the type of reader who takes fiction as non-fiction, I’d probably refer you elsewhere for a quick read.
As much as I have enjoyed hearing from (and getting to know) some of you here, I openly request that you evaluate your own interests and gauge whether or not you wish to remain or even become my friend here on MySpace. One way or the other I’ll not ever hold it against you, I simply want to be clear as to my ambitions. I am not a “friend whore.” I READ every profile before accepting a friend request, it’s that simple. I am not someone interested in gaining eye candy “friends” to create traffic to my personal page. I am no supermodel, hence could not care less if you are. Oh, sure, I will check you out but I am not interested in seeing nude pics or downloading special “viewers” so that I might evaluate your “page.” If you are one of these people, know this: I doubt your photoshopped profile pics are worth the effort that I’ll have to put forth just to see them. Assume this to be the case without exception. You’d be wise to do so.
I am a (stalled) college student living in Lake Worth, Florida who works in Palm Beach Gardens selling nutritional supplements for one of the fastest growing companies in the industry. I am slowly finishing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and am leaning towards pursuing Intelligence eventually (hopefully) leading to a career in Homeland Security or other parallel occupation.
Originally from upstate New York, I have had fun living in Florida cities such as North Miami, and Tampa to one-horse-towns such as Cobleskill, New York. I have studied (and continue to do so) abnormal psychology, comparative religion, parapsychology and demonology (NO I am not Satanic).
I’m here to meet other like minded individuals who enjoy reading or writing dark fiction, horror or fantasy. I am a big time military technology nut and military historian (an armchair general) and am into history in a big way. Time permitting I like to paint in acrylics but would much rather be outside at the beach or at a local bar playing pool.

I require friends to be intelligent and witty, this is non-negotionable, if you try to fool me, even though this is the internet, I will see right through it. Also, I am NOT here to date you, so please don’t go there, I am no super model therefore couldn’t care less if YOU are. I’m around to meet real people with thick skin. I am too often blunt so if you’re the type that is easily offended, please stop reading now.

Lastly please, PLEASE don’t talk to me if you can’t “talk” like a human being…TyPiN’ LikE ‘Diz Yo WilL GeT on My LaSt NeRve FAST yO!

My Work & those I am only too happy to support:
Lost Tissues is a 3 part short published on Chris Pimental's Thug Works e-zine. All 3 parts are online now.

"Honey, I Shot the Kids" is flash fiction that I think exemplifies what I try to do as I writer. I am committed to telling stories that will leave you scratching your head and leaving a goofy grin on your face!

"Carr" is a particularly nasty piece of flash fiction.

This short story will be included in Out of the Gutter Issue #3, "War is all Hell"

Take a look at the video preview for Out of the Gutter #3 below!

You are Roland! As the last Gunslinger, you have a courageous and steadfast nature, and are unswerving in your actions. Because you act calmly in the face of danger, people like to to have you as an ally. However, you can be cold when it comes to human contact, and have betrayed your friends in the past for your own needs, and need to learn how to love others, or you will become just as heartless as the forces you are trying to fight! Try lightening up a bit.

My Interests

I am an avid writer of dark, short fiction and am in the process of finalizing three of my favorite ones for publication. My single goal this year is to meet the criteria to become an active member of the H.W.A.

I am also very interested in getting involved in writing screenplays and becoming associated with the independent film industry, and am currently pursing this aim with renewed interest- so if you have any advice or tips please do not hesitate to contact me here on MySpace or you may shoot me an e-mail at OneStarNorth

Please refer to MySpace and your pen-name (if you are a CURRENT FRIEND of mine on MySpace) in the Subject as I have no use for Spam. If you are contacting me though MySpace and not a “friend”, please send me a message to me here BEFORE e-mailing me. This way I will not simply delete your correspondence. (Thanks!)

My Haunts
There are three groups that I regularly post to (or try to) and wish you to come join us!

Last and certainly not least is the literary group Dark Tales hosted by one of the most prolific writers I know, Rick Sutton. Here is the place any fan of dark fiction can read AND post any short story, flash fiction should they choose to do so.

You are The Chariot

Triumph, Victory, Overcoming Obstacles.

The chariot is one of the most complex cards to define. On its most basic level, it implies war, a struggle, and an eventual, hard-won victory. Either over enemies, obstacles, nature, the beasts inside you, or to just get what you want. But there is a great deal more to it. The charioteer wears emblems of the sun, yet the sign behind this card is the moon. The chariot is all about motion, and yet it is often shown as stationary. It is a union of opposites, like the black and white steeds. They pull in different directions, but must be (and can be!) made to go together in one direction. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, circumstances; bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence is also needed and, most especially, motivation. The card can, in fact, indicate new motivation or inspiration, which gets a stagnant situation moving again.
