In memory of our beautiful mother cat, Lanson, and all her family, our design company.
I have been told that my profile is 'OPEN',and brave and giving up all my secrets and feelings, but there is SO much more I have inside. If you ask, I MIGHT tell, but for now, you can read the key points that have made me what I am.
If you care, if you love, if you can look out for a living creature less able than you, then you are my friend.
If you will do no harm to any other living being, then you are my friend.
If you are unable to respect life, love and the world that we have, then I bid you good day, but I don't want you to destroy anything more.
I am a 35 year old animal loving, gay, peace hoping, vegetarian living in Spain. In a long term relationship with my life partner Derek. We've been together since 1991. I say together because that is how we are. Derek is like the seats to my car, he makes me complete.
I am from Scotish, Irish, English and Welsh blood, with desendants in Aire, Cork, Stafford, Knighton, Aberystwyth, Pwllheli and Manchester (plus more), so am technically mixed race, but I was born in Manchester, grew up on a rough council estate in Beswick, then moved to Clayton before settling down in New Moston, Chorley, Manchester City Centre, and now Spain, where I am here to stay. (I think).
I have met some amazing people during my life. Their very existance has touched me and made me still feel close, even though I am geographically so far away. I have also met some psychos!!! I don't mean people with any kind of mental illness, which affects most of us during our lives, I mean people who are seriously unhinged!!!
That said, it is what makes the world go round, although I am happier in the comfort of animals!
I am a generally up-beat person, and try not to see the bad in people, I only ever want to see good. I find it hard to be bitter, to be negative, to be down as life is too short to focus on the bad. Sadly, some people are just too good at being bad, they let themselves down.
That said, I can be a bit grumpy though and would probably do well on the UK TV series 'Grumpy Old Men', at least in the future, when I am OLD!
Oh, and mornings deserve a mention at this point, they are only designed to make you grumpy! I am a night owl really!!!
I would still like to travel, especially to places like Prague, Berlin and America (if they ever allow tourists in again), but am happy in the company of my new family, of Derek, our cats, and even my mother!!!

Life is a roller coaster, but we have to learn from the dips to make the most of the highs. Many things have happened in my life, some sad, some good. But all of them have made me what I am. Right or wrong, I am what I am!

My Timeline
This is a work in progress. I am adding to it all the time! Not as things happen, but more as I remember them!!! Oh, and some of the dates might be wrong!!! I have no memory, but it's called surpression, apparently!
1971 - I was born in Manchester UK.
1980 - Got bullied in school.
1983 - Started defending younger kids from bullies.
1984 - Joined the Air Training Corps.
1986 - Took in pregnant cat, gave birth on my bed. Cared for until old enough to re-home.
1987 - Started work for BR.
1999 - Worked as Conductor on trains.
1991 - Left Manchester Victoria to Piccadilly.
1991 - At my sparce leaving party, got "together" with Derek.
1992 - Derek bought me a kitten for my 21st. The BEST present ever. She was to be called Lanson, after Lanson Black Label champagne.
1993 - Feeling pity passing a petshop, we bought a female kitten called Chip. Turns out he was male!!!
1993 - Became train announcer!
1993 - Lanson and Chip gave birth to 4 kittens, Zig, Zag, Tom and Jerry. We kept Zig and Zag, Tom and Jerry went to my sister.
1995 - Worked at Manchester Airport.
1996 - My Grandad died.
1996 - Survived major car crash with just a scratch.
1997 - Worked at Preston.
1998 - Made redundant.
1998 - Started work as a driving instructor in Blackpool. Go to work knowing that everyday, somebody WILL try to kill you - Fun!!!
1998 - My Dad died.
1999 - Worked planning rail replacement coaches.
1999 - House got flooded - Really bad.
2000 - My 'Nanna' died.
2001 - My sister was murdered.
2001 - Started work as Marketing Manager for Europes largest chain of Gay stores at the time.
2001 - Got depressed.
Old chinese proverd, man who bottles things up will soon pop his cork!
2002 - Found near dead cat having been knocked over. RSPCA not interested so cared for him.
2002 - Got Better.
2002 - Attended Psychotherapy - Well worth the time.
2002 - Managed charidy fundraiser.
2002 - Arranged charidy fashion show.
2002 - Appeared on Sex in the High Street on ITV.
2003 - Appeared on DVD extras for 9 Dead Gay Guys movie.
2003 - Locally managed film premiere at Manchester Filmworks.
2003 - Saved the life of a duck, caught in a fishermans hook in the canal next to my home. The RSPCA would not attend because "It's dark"!!!
2003 - Arranged movie premiere for Beach Boys.
2003 - Worked as PR on the Erotica show in Manchester.
2004 - Moved to Spain.
Drove to Spain with Derek in one go, 4 cats and Angel the budgie in the back. I drove back on my own!
2004 - Realised that The League Of Gentlemen are prophets. They're EVIL!
2004 - Survived major car crash with Derek. Just a scratch again for me, same place! Derek injured physically, me injured mentally! Hate driving now!
2005 - Repeated move to Spain by agreeing to drive my sister here.
2005 - Angel the budgie passed away.
2005 - Attempted mugging. Got threatened with a knife, stood my ground, hit in face with a brick!
2006 - Again, realised that their are some NASTY people in this world!
2006 - Lanson starts to get ill, due to old age.
2006 - Took photographs of local pet superstore burning to the ground. Got very upset at the thought of the animals inside, especially as we NEARLY took Lanson there for treatment.
2006 - Lanson passed away.
2006 - Grew up. Realised what's important! Realised how shallow some people are. Can't help wishing I was young again though!
2006 - Seem to save at least one bird a month that crashes into the buildings here. I collect them, comfort them, and get them to flying ability again, despite the fact they ALWAYS crap on me!!! Nerves!
2006 - Life changes, people change. What have I become?All in all, a better person, because I only ever want to help those who need help. If the humans turn against me afterwards, that is their problem. All the animals I save are happy, so that makes me happy. I just want to save those who need me!
Still scared of driving, still upset by my losses, still fed up at the treatment people give, but still living, standing tall and working for a better life for me and my little family.
I get knocked down, and I get up again...
...But for how long?

Brighton West Pier. One of the most beautiful buildings in the world, for so many deep and meaningfull reasons. In its derelict state, it was almost more magical and was the host to the final scenes of the movie The Fruit Machine.
It has been a long term goal of mine to swim out to the derelict pier and climb up inside, just to imagine what life was like, to feel the buzz of history. Oh, but I can't swim and now it's burnt down!!!

The world seems full of selfish people, who have no respect for anybody. Their only goal being to claim that they are better than somebody else, but they don't realise how untrue that is.

To gain your own real place in this world, you have to help somebody less able to help themselves than you. If you can do that, then you are welcome as my friend.

Let us turn this world around, into a better, peaceful, pleasant, acceptable place where we can all live without fear of hurting anybody or being hurt.
