Mark Bruback 'Sir Mark the poet' is a seasoned poet/performer who has been doing spoken word/music shows for over 14 years with bands, burlesque & bellydancers, circus sideshow acts, radio, cable and benefit shows.Sharing the stage with bands such as Citizen Fish, Ani DeFranco, Wesley Willis, Fugazi, Nomeansno, Bad Brains, Auntie Christ, Murder City Devils, A.F.I., Stratford Mercinaries, 7 Year Bitch, Bikini Kill, M.D.C., Modest Mouse, Subhumans, MXPX, Trial, The EX, No Use For A Name, Anti-Flag, Aquabats, Final Conflict, Good Riddance, TchKung, Zeke, Bloodhag, Crucifuks, Natalie Wouldn't, Botch, The Girls, Citizen Fish, the Blood Clots, Plankton Beat, Potty Mouth Society, Full Frontal Assualt, Avail, Fitz of Depresion, The Enemies, Toe Tag, 46 Short, Final Conflict, Vals & hundreds more. *** ****Began at Manga Italiano (St. Louis, MO) to Zoe's Café (San Antonio, TX) & represented San Antonio at the International Poetry Festival in Austin, TX ('94)*Played the famed Fireside Bowl, Greenroom & Metro (Chicago, Il) with touring bands.*Played LUX Coffee Bar, the Globe Cafe, Habitat, Velvet Elvis, RKCNDY, Pheonix Underground, Northwest Actor's Studio, Art Not Terminal, Sureshot, Arts Edge, Kitsap County Fair Grounds, El Corazon, the Funhouse, Summer Nights at the Pier, Seattle's Hemp Fest, Seattle's Fringe Festival, King and Beast Circus Sideshow, Bedroom Club (burlesque), Local Chaos Productions 'Unity Fest'(Studio 7) & the Showbox and Showbox Sodo(Seattle, WA). *Played CBGBs in New York City (R.I.P.)to the Whiskey in Los Angeles, Uncle Squeky's Gong Show, 'Dope on Dope' (anti-heroin movie), neighborhood safety with 'Take Back the Night' Belltown march to benefit shows for 'Real Change' homeless newspaper.*touring the U.S. to raise awareness of primate research (Primate Freedom Tour '98), touring both east & west coasts with bands from around the world, benefit shows 4 'Doctors without Borders', 'Iraqi Freedom Fest', (Citizen Fish, Stratford Mercinaries & Oi Polloi, U.K.) & at home with Aus Rotten and other European bands.*Sold 2000 copies of his CD "Riot at the Shriner Circus', 4000 copies sold of single 'Burn Down Nike Town'.*Releasing 10 of my own books (Poems to Babalon, last title) & publishing four other poet's work.
