About Me
Hey!!! I'm Jay Crash. I live in Portland, Oregon although touring keeps me on the road most of the time. I play bass and scream in a heavy, crusty punk, thrash metal, band called Embrace the Kill. I manage the legendary American Hardcore band - Millions of Dead Cops - and also run a tour service called Nomads of America. I'm a tour manager for hire and have worked tours for MDC, Star Fucking Hipsters, the Casualties, Old Habits Die Hard, etc. I've been promoting my own DIY shows for some 10 years now. I'm the founder of a band I played in for nine years called Valid Effort and I was also the bass player for Filthy White Trash for about a year. I've been on several tours and played hundreds of shows all over the USA and a bit of Mexico too. I've also toured all over Europe and the United States with MDC. Between all the bands I've been a part of I've played shows with such bands as Leftover Crack, Subhumans, the Exploited, Poison Idea, DOA, the Causalties, Toxic Narcotic, Citizen Fish, MDC, Against All Authority, the Mentors, Butt Trumpet, Los Kung Fu Monkeys, Destruction Made Simple, Union 13, Bristle, Skarp, Witch Hunt, a Global Threat, Defiance, the Restarts, the Briggs, Time Again, Final Conflict, Mouth Sewn Shut, Fleas and Lice, Agent Orange, Voo Doo Glowskulls, the Vibrators, Nino Zombie, Vitamin X, Morning Glory, Static Thought, Society's Parasites, Naked Aggression, Verbal Abuse, Disaster Strikes, In Defence, etc. I also do a good amount of booking and try to help out touring bands if I like the music.I run a up and coming label called Crash Assailant Records. All our releases for now can be bought online at Interpunk.com and CD Baby. If you live in the Portland area, 2nd Ave. records, Everyday Music, Discourage Rock n Roll, and Green Noise Records carries our stuff as well.
