About Me
Kristilee has been kicking around the entertainment and music scene for her whole life (or so it feels!). From critically acclaimed comedy shows, to solo piano bar gigs, jazz ensembles, lead roles in musical theatre productions, original music performances and recording, this versatile musician/comedian has covered a diverse range of genres.Early in her career she undertook an 18 month sabbatical, during which time she taught music and drama to children in Pennsylvania, sang in Bourbon Street, New Orleans, busked in London and performed a few jazz standards in Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge. After relocating to Melbourne, Kristilee has had the opportunity to perform with some of Australia’s foremost musicians.Kristilee regularly appeared on stage with Debra Byrne and Dale Ryder [Boom Crash Opera] at the Faulkner Club and has gigged with Tania Doko [Bachelor Girl], John Foreman [Australian Idol], Casey Bennetto & the Drowsy Drivers (Keating), The Shuffle Club, Nina Ferro & as of very recently, The Original Blues Brothers band and Eddie Floyd at Ronnie Scott's in London.The past couple of years have again seen Kristilee unleashing her unique blend of talents upon the rest of the world. What began as a one month contract playing solo gigs in a piano bar in Dresden, Germany led to two years of travelling, playing 5-star hotels and sampling the gastronomic delights of Europe, Scandinavia and Morocco. N.B. Following a two month engagement at the Casablanca Hyatt in Morocco, Kristilee has vowed to NEVER AGAIN play ‘As Time Goes By’.Kristilee returned to Australia early in 2006 to write and star in Melbourne Comedy Festival hit show ‘Ramblings’. Based on her experiences in the piano bars of the world and drawn from the wealth of emails sent to incredulous (but highly entertained) family and friends while she was travelling, the show garnered a 4 star review in The Age and heralded the arrival of a brilliant new talent on the Australian comedy scene.Entertaining, witty, talented and engaging, Kristilee is a unique performer who, if she continues to add feather after feather to her cap, will most certainly need a new one soon.
