About Me

I play alto sax, drumkit, clarinet, flute and trombone. It all kind of started (publicly) when I won the 'Inaugural James Morrison Jazz Scholorship' when I was about 18. Then came eight years as saxophonist for the live television studio band of Australia's longest running and most successful variety program, 'Hey Hey It's Saturday'. Artists we perfomed with include Randy Crawford, Al Jarreau, Tom Jones, Ernie Watts, James Morrison, Martin Taylor, Tommy Emmanuel, Ruby Turner, Thelma Houston, Claire Martin, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Raitt and Bozz Scaggs
I've also co-authored seven books which have been published by Oxford University Press. These are: Creative Saxophone, Creative Saxophone Duets, Creative Saxophone Improvising, Creative Saxophone Workbook, Creative Clarinet, Creative Clarinet Duets, Creative Clarinet Improvising
Gigs wise, I'm really into playing drumkit at the moment for the following artists: Al start www.alstart.co.uk & Kitto www.whosjack.com
