About Me

..
Firstly- thank YOU for listening.
My name is Cameron Cooke Maxwell- I’m a singer/songwriter/producer/beat-smith located in Austin, Texas. These tracks were created from scratch and are the result of too much wine, too much smoke, happy days, not-so-happy days, and lingering nostalgia. I hope you like what you hear; these songs are for you.
Official Bio:
Cameron is a truly unique soul. He was born with a pure and complete passion for entertaining and has worked diligently to learn and experience every aspect of both visual and performing art.
At a young age, Cameron began performing in small church and school plays, later going on to star in larger school productions. His experimentation with acting landed him spots on a handful of local and nationally televised commercials. But it wasn’t long before Cameron discovered his musical ability. At the age of 13, as a middle-school student in California, he began writing, recording, and producing his own songs using a makeshift home studio. Driven to audition for his schools top choir and vocal jazz ensembles, he proved successful at both, going on to tour and travel with the groups, performing at prestigious venues such as the Avery Fischer Music Hall and Carnegie Hall. He has won numerous awards as a jazz and classical vocalist and at age 18 placed in TMEA’s top choir in Texas, made up of the top 2% of high-school aged vocal musicians in the state. Cameron’s earlier choral and performance experiences provide him with a strong vocal foundation.
Cameron continued t perform at many local talent shows and at the age of 16 was selected to perform at the Annual ERA and Make a Wish Foundation benefit concert at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, where he performed alongside such notable acts as Jesse McCartney and Nina Sky. Opportunities like this opened doors for Cameron to work with established producers in Los Angeles and New York, with whom he writes on a regular basis. Working almost exclusively out of his home studio, he has refined his writing, singing, and mixing skills. In 2006 Broadjam named Cameron one of the Texas Top 10 Young Artists. He spent a year with the group Next Generation and was produced by platinum producer David Rice. He had the opportunity to work with a myriad of world-class musicians. Next Generation performed regionally and sang for an NBA game at the AT&T stadium to a sold-out audience of over 18,000.
Also a critically acclaimed and sought after photographer, Cameron does editorial work with urban and contemporary publications in Austin, TX, where he currently resides. He has won numerous awards for his work and is a part of many local and national projects.
Cameron is a unique, poignant, and colorful young voice. He continues to seek inspiration, attempt to inspire, and make the most out of life. With his trained trained ear, trained eye, and extra touch of soul and charisma- he will continue to make an impact on both the visual and musical worlds.
