Shion, A former high school Baseball M.V.P and Associated Press 2nd team All-American is no stranger to gospel music. In 1995 after graduating from high school Shion chose to do the work of the Lord instead of following his dream of playing professional Baseball. He joined the "Godfather of Gospel Music" Rev. Timothy Wright's Concert Choir. During his 5 years of faithful service to Rev. Wright ministry, Shion has toured and meet some of the Gospel Music Industry renouned artist such as Kurt Carr, Richard Smallwood, Bebe Winans, John P. Kee, Ricky Dillard, James Hall, Dorothy Norwood, Vicki Winans, The late Orlando Draper, and Danny Eason. In 2000 Shion left the ministry to join the Navy, but he didn't realize that this move would bring him closer to what God Has called him to do. In 2002 While attending the Georgia Mass Choir Live recording in Jacksonville, Rev. Biggham Introduced Shion to Stellar Award Winner, Grammy and Soultrain Music Award Nominee, Billboards 2007 2nd top Gospel Producer, and Emtro Gospel Record Ceo Troy Sneed. In 2003 Troy Sneed recorded the very first song Shion Wrote titled "Holy is The lamb" With the Youth for Christ Choir. The Song apeared on their Debut album "Love Comes in all Colors" which had special guest appearances by Kim Burrell, Bruce Allen, Rev. Biggham and Sneed. Since the open door from the YFC Project, Shion has gone on to work with independent artist such as Annointed Praize, Ereka Carrington, Famlee, Etholia Kent-Housey & ROP, Frank Caldwell, Javon Davis and Annointed By Christ (aka A.B.C). He also worked as an assistant to Rev. Milton Biggham, The CEO of Savoy Records. Biggham Is Know for paving the careers of Kurt Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and Troy Sneed. All of them has gone on to become pioneers in the Gospel Music Industry. But thats not the end as Shion Continue to reach his Destiny by Starting his own indie Label NU-TOWN RECORDS.
