Reading, dancing, listening to music, drinking, watching football, walking, playing double bass and anything that includes taking pleasure in the little things, all in all i'm a simple kind of girl.
It's really hard to write this bit, i've just realised that i'm not really too fussy. I like people who are considerate and have lots of colours about them - although if you don’t I would like to meet you also, I like people who like animals also. I think most people (with the obvious exception of mass murders etc) are cool; it wouldn’t do if we were all the same eh? Or maybe I’m just flaky.
I love most music styles, whatever people are trying to do or get across with their music just blows me away. Glenn Tilbrook, Belle and Sebastian, Ben Kweller, King Creosote, David Bowie, Ron Sexsmith, Dresden Dolls, Hot Hot Heat, The Stone Roses, The Delgados, The Libertines, Kings of Leon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Shins, Aberfeldy, Bright Eyes, Dressy Bessy,The Violent Femmes (apart from their Sabrina the teenage witch appearance, for shame!), The Zombies, The Animals, The Beatles and James Yorkston to name but a few. Old rock and roll (50's and 60's) was my first music love with Madchester being my next, i love most music with a big fat double bass, Buddy Holly/Eddie Cochran/Johnny Burnette, unfortunately (and in the words of the wonder stuff) i've never loved Elvis.
Some like it hot, Harvey, Groundhog day, Goonies, Back To The Future (pt I and II), IT (Stephen King), Muppet Christmas Carol, It's a Wonderful Life, The Poltergeist movies, James Bond movies, the Beatles movies, Waking life is unreal I need to see that movie again, the opening scene still gives me goose bumps.
I don't really like TV, it's full of crap reality shows, although I shouldn't really say that, each to their own and all that. I do however watch the following; The mighty boosh, the simpsons, family guy and i have a guilty pleasure for stuff like scrubs and everybody loves Raymond. I also love Reeves and Mortimer stuff, Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey.
I like dreamy books, Haruki Murakami is my favourite author and I can’t wait to read everything he’s ever wrote, although I’m not sure if it's all been translated from Japanese yet. I also love screen plays, you can read them in like 30mins and feel all smart, I love John Osborne 'look back in anger' and Willy Russell 'educating Rita'. I also like the Alex Gray book 'the mission of art' I can't really explain the lessons I learnt from it as it was more a nice warm feeling I got from it.
