Edgey The Busker

I don't claim to be a guitarist!!!!!

About Me

For all demo's, check out..
..
Telegraph & Argus May 2007 - "Edgey the Busker. 'Edgey' as he prefers to be known, landed in Bradford 14 years ago from Merseyside and made it his home. Although starting in the music business late, (he only began performing about three years ago, busking and performing around New Zealand), is winning over fans with songs brimming with wry social commentary."
All songs are just very rough demo's recorded in me mams back room on a camcorder!!!!!!! (use scroll bar on right of player for 5th song)
Originally from sunny West Kirby, Wirral, Merseyside, for some bizarre reason, I moved to Bradford, Yorkshire in 1993. I dossed around there for 13years and then moved to Queenstown, New Zealand where I had the pleasure of singing with some great bands and also making good money busking. Unfortunately I am currently back in Bradford saving money before the start of my world tour!!! ;)
Donations gratefully received ;)
The highlight of my career so far, had to be my debut, a few years ago playing guitar accompanied, on drums, by the late great Rob Heaton (New Model Army).
As the name suggests, I generally play other peoples stuff in a busking stylee, but have written a few teen angsty songs of my own. Get the razor blades ready!!!
I played some of them at Delius with support ..boards and drums from The Analog Bombs very own Deano and Danny and they sounded a lot better....and happier!!!! I'm currently in the process of writing songs for my 2nd, slightly happier album.
All songs written and performed and recorded badly by Paul Howarth September 2005- April 2007. All gig photography courtesy of Tess Beazley.
If you happen to like them (shocking as it may seem), send me a friend request or msg. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I'm just starting out. Cheers.
I've played guitar and sung on both sides of the world. Performing at such wonderous venues as :-
Delius - Bradford (22nd March07, Analog Bombs) (24 June07, Riley) (5th April08, Syfest)
Pm Bar - Shipley (26th July07, Hoover Dams)
The Love Apple - Bradford (5th May07, 23rd April08, Hope not Hate)
The Biko - Bradford
MacRorys - Bradford
Q-Lounge - Queenstown, New Zealand
Morrisons Irish Bar - Queenstown
Pog Mahones - Queenstown
Surreal - Queenstown
Sky City Casino - Queenstown
Opposite the Kebab shop - Queenstown
Outside the Kebab shop - Queenstown
Outside Winnies - Queenstown
By the Lake - Queenstown
On the beach - Kaikora
City Square - Christchurch
The Green Monkey - Nelson
I've put one of these visitor map thingies on, new fangled technology :)
