Ginger Fringe Festival is a yearly Charity weekend event. The festival was first started by Ian Austin, back in 1999 at Macroys Bar. Since then the event has grown (since the close of Macroys), it has moved to it's new home of Delius and The Mannville Arms in 2007.
This year we are wanting to involve more venue's giving a wider taste of music, including The Polish Club, Black Sawn and The Beehive (as well as Delius and The Mannville Arms). The festival is run by a large team of Volunteers including Ian Austin, Deano (Delius), Tom (The Mannville Arms), Andy (Tech), Lydia (PR) and various other people, who contribute all there time and effots in the aid of charity.
The 2008 Ginger Fringe Festival charity is MacMillian Cancer Support. Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and campaign for better cancer care. More information on the charity can be found at http://www.macmillan.org.uk/.
The dates for the 2008 Festival are Fri 25th July, Sat 26th july and Sun 27th July. The price's and times are to be confirmed, as are all the venues. Only Delius and The Mannville Arms are fully confirmed at this time being. If you want to help, play or just get involved, send a message on here.
