Kendra was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. Attended Captain Shreve, Woodlawn High and Graudated from Southwood High.Kendra has been singing since age 5 starting at Crusader Temple COGIC. She began traveling and singing around the city at the age of 14. At this time she was a member of Evangelist Temple COGIC (Supt. Nathan Heard) where she remained until moving to Dallas, TX in 1988 for school.She obtained a degree in Music Business. In 1996 she joined Joyful Noyze and toured as a lead vocalist and BGV for 3 years.In 2000 Kendra auditioned for Kirk Franklin and was chosen to sing and tour with him for 5 years.Kendra currently sings BGV part-time for Various Artists, and does studio work for multiple recording talents and projects. She is available for different occasions through pre-scheduling dates and negotiating price.Along the way Kendra has been blessed to grace the stages or studios with incredible artists to name a few as J Moss, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Smokie Norful, Bono(U-2), Anthony Evans, Greg Long, Shirley Ceasar, Susan Gray, Martha Munizzi and many more.She has been a member of The Potter's House (Bishop TD Jakes) since 1997. Where she is a member of The Potter's House choir.Her goal in being a BGV is to become a valuable asset and gain all the knowledge and wisdom given from the Artist Ministries, on the journey God sets before her.Kendra has also played some acting roles in various projects including Walker, Texas Ranger. Kendra is currently the vocals behind 94.5 FM jingle spots including Michael Baisden and The Rudy V Show.
