I am a minister, psalmist, and lover of the one true and living God. My wife and I have been married for 18 years and counting. As of November 17 2007 I am Director Of Praise and Worship at the Potter's House of Dallas. I am also a Gospel Artist who loves to take worship to the masses. The name of my gospel ensemble is John Murray & Worship. We have been ministering together since 2001. We also have a CD called John Murray & Worship, "Heart of a worshipper". John often says, "My mother always told me to give God praise like it's my last time."John Murray is a minister, producer, musician, vocalist and composer who has been playing and singing since the tender age of 8. His career started at a small church (Faith Tabernacle UHC)in his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey where he sang in the choir and learned to play various instruments. At a young age John began to take interest in playing many instruments. It seemed that he would quickly learn any instrument he placed in his heart to play. John feels that playing an instrument and singing to God is the greatest high in the world. "There is nothing like worshipping God".He moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1988 where he performed with various gospel music ministries and also founded the sensational Philly group, CHRISTLIKE. He has toured as part of the band with many gospel legends including Tramaine Hawkins, Pastor Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir and has played (in Studio sessions or live concerts) for other gospel greats such as Richard "Mr. Clean" White, John P. Kee, and the Gabriel Hardeman Delegation. John also served as musical director, musician, and vocalist for Pastor Bruce Parham.WORSHIP Eventually the Lord gave him the vision to begin a solo project and blessed him with a group of talented young saved Christians now known as "Worship". No more than four weeks later the choir was off to the studio to record their first critically acclamied project, "Heart of a Worshipper" featuring the mega hit single "IOU Praise"!This young choir's love for God is very evident in their music. They have made a vow to give God true "Worship", spreading the Gospel of Peace and the Spirit of Worship throughout the world and to all nations.In 2006 John was moved to Praise and Worship Leader at Philly's Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Alyn Waller where he had already been serving faithfully for two years as guitarist. In the month of November 2007 John was asked to come to the Potter's House in Dallas Texas to become Director Of Praise and Worship under the leadership of Bishop TD Jakes.
