Mothercity is just a few short weeks away from having a full length album in your hands. Patience is a virtue and soon you will be having a collective ear-gasm.
UPDATE (02-07-07):
MotherCity is currently in the Chunk of Love studio recording our first album! We are about halfway done right now, and will be having a big CD release party when its done. Realistically the album should be done in May, and if all goes according to plan we will be back on the SLC scene playing the music you love.
From the beginning, MotherCity has consistently pushed the boundaries of convention in music. Incorporating a unique blend of soul, indie rock and improvisational jam sessions. The result - a concoction effortlessly nestled between a Shirley Temple and Jack Daniels. Ben - (guitars / samplers / keyboard / loop effects), Tim - (bass / loop effects / harmonica), Whil - (drums / percussion / keyboard), and Rob - (guitars / midi guitars) are four friends (who happened to play music) letting the music take them wherever it will. MotherCity's smooth guitar and lean bass lines lead to a popular vote in South By Southwest in 2006. After a successful performance at SXSW, MotherCity turned it's musical agenda toward the local spots in Salt Lake. Targeting such Venues as Todds Bar and Grill, Burts Tiki lounge, Monks House of Jazz and anywhere music is appreciated.
It's all about the music.
