Paul Deyo has performed as a professional trumpet player for over 30 years. His first paying gig came at the age of 15 as a member of an R and B horn band called the 'Mixed Bag'. In high school and college he studied with Jimmy Maxwell, Charles Thompson, Dr. Leonard Candelaria and Eugene Blee while continuing to work professional venues. Since then, he has performed as a member of symphony orchestras, brass quintets, blues bands, big bands, worship orchestras, as a soloist for weddings and recitals, and with touring Broadway shows and cruise ship show bands. Paul has done recording work in Atlanta and Nashville. He also spent three years as lead trumpet player on the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville. In those settings he has worked with many well-known performers such as the Temptations, Earl Gaines, Bobby Hebb, Louise Mandrell, Patti Page, Shirley Jones, Rita Moreno and others.A native of New York, Paul Deyo makes his home in the Nashville area.
