A little info about the classes...
Girl School opened it's doors in 2004 to give women of all shapes sizes and backgrounds the opportunity to participate in the ever growing Burlesque scene in Los Angeles and around the world. Keeping to her Seattle roots, Bella holds true to her DIY standards and considers creativity and freedom of expression the cornerstones of good art.
After all it is not a Hollywood "perfect" body ( remember hips...they were great!)but true perfomance skills and a passion for the art that make for a real Burlesque Star.
Whether you are a seeking an opportunity to step outside your daily life and are in need of artistic release or are looking to create a future for yourself as a burlesque performer this class will arm you with skills ( and teach you a thing or two about rhinestones) to showgirl and showoff!
Bella Beretta combines her 8 years of experience as a burlesque dancer and pairs it with 16 years of theatre experience, to give you the full spectrum of what it takes to not just be a girl with a feather boa, but a Burlesque Performer.
You will be taken through all the steps of constructing a costume, persona and performance. With fun side trips like touring the garment district of Downtown Los Angeles, and a step by step stage makeup and wigs class, this program is geared to show you how to do it well, build it your self and find all that fabulous at reasonable prices. All of this leads to you building a performance piece that you will perform @ the weekly burlesque showcase "The Tease @ Threes"@ The Legendary 3 Clubs on Vine

Classes begin Monday November 27th and every Monday until December 18th- We will be on Winter Break through the rest of Dec.to get past holiday madness! Classes will reconvene January 8th and with a great big graduation spectacular scheduled for February 19th.
All classes are held @ 3 Clubs 1123 N. Vine on Mondays from 7-9 pm ( corner of Santa Monica and Vine)
Tuition for The ABC's of T&A is $225.00 this includes 20 classroom hours and all supplies used in in class activities( pastie making,feather fans and ect...)
