Soma City Ward

About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorSoma City Ward was formed in Kelowna, B.C. in 1998 by guitarist Alley and former drummer Richard. Knowing what a hotbed of talent and opportunity Vancouver, B.C. is, they headed for the coast. After many lineup changes, Soma City Ward has grown to include Zedd on the bass holding down a solid underlying groove, Skinny 2 Sticks on drums, bringing the backbeat to the band in a solid way and Cam on vocals, adding depth and power to the message of the songs. The band signed a management agreement with TKO Entertainment in September 2003 and began recording very shortly after. The recordings started in Vancouver's legendary Mushroom Studios and have been ongoing since then in the private studio of Her Royal Majesty's Records. The songs are currently in the rough mix stage, and will be released through Her Royal Majesty's Records when they are completed.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: somacityward.com
Band Members: Alley - Guitar, Zedd - Bass + Background Vocals, Cam Dixon - Lead Vocals, Skinny 2 Sticks- Drums
Influences: This is a band with rock and roll pulsing through their veins. The classics such as Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, and Black Sabbath to newer bands like Alice In Chains, Sevendust, and Deftones. This is still only scratching the surface of the influences, with only the pursuit of rock and roll driving us.
Sounds Like: Arena sized guitars driven by a punishing rhythm section with vocals that are powerful yet melodic
