I would then like to work for WHO-World Health Organization... I would like my daughter to know that many societies don't base there lives on capitalism and materialistic tendencies. I would seek out villages where their principles lies in a balanced reciprocity system. The politics in this country have lead to many countries disliking us. It's unfortunate that the people in power in this country are only interested in their own agenda's, not the common peoples agenda... Thanks to the men and women who are protecting everyone. The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of CoffeeWhen things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began , he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed."Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions--and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.The sand is everything else--the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you."Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first--the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.I saw you, stare at my long hair.But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves. But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos. But, you didn't see me, cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart.I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family.I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car. But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.I saw you, race down the road in the rain. But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.But, you didn't see me, leave the road.I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there.I saw you, go home to your family.But, you didn't see me. Because, I died that day you cut me off.I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family.
