KC GRIT

Monster Rockin' Blues

About Me

KC GRIT from the start has been a group of old friends that came together in an effort to recapture much of the fun and excitement we grew up with in Kansas City, and have even shared with many of you who are around the half century mark! With over 100+ years of collective experience playing stages from Colorado to Georgia, from Texas to Minnesota - it's been an interesting and diverse ride for each of us. Over the years we present members remained friends, somehow stayed in contact, but didn't always play enough music together. Then at a large gathering 2 years ago a seed was planted. A planned meeting, later, revealed our common ground and desire to make something of a go at it. With no illusions of grandeur, we went about gathering and arranging material (something old, something new, something borrowed, something blues). KC GRIT finally has come to fruition. It will continue to grow and mature as we do. We promise you will be thoroughly entertained! "We're playing in Kansas City, Kansas City here we come..."
