BACKROADS brings a potent mix of energy, melody and 'in your face' performance to the stage. Their debut CD "Precious Things" has met with rave reviews and popular audience response. As an original hard rock 4-piece they write, record and perform their guitar and vocal-driven music with the attitude that you have to 'Serve it up hot and serve it up tight'.
The band consists of Matt Doherty on lead guitar and vocals, Chris Doherty on drums, Troy Richardson on lead vocals and Andrew Boyd on bass guitar. They are as comfortable in the studio as they are on stage. The audience response has been so positive that they've received the "Sudbury's Best Band" award 2 years in a row!
