Music is self-examination.

About Me

Originally from New Brunswick, Tracy is a singer, composer, and educator who began performing as a child and studied singing, piano, and guitar as a teenager. Tracy received her Bachelor of Music degree in classical music from Mount Allison University. She has worked as an actor, singer and pianist in professional Dinner Theatre in Yarmouth, N.S. and in Sackville, N.B., before moving on to study Jazz in Toronto at Humber College. While in Toronto she worked as a freelance musician and taught at various music studios within the Greater Toronto Area. In the past year, Tracy has performed in eastern Canada and in southern China as the leader of her own quartet while actively composing her own music and arrangements. She was recently a participant of the Creative Music Workshop in Halifax, Nova Scotia in July 2008 under the direction of Jerry Granelli. Tracy has also taught classroom music for School District 14 (NB) as well as concert band, jazz band and choir. Currently, Tracy is teaching music to grades one to twelve at the International School of Sino-Canada in Shenzhen, China. She believes strongly in the value of music to teach creativity, team work and discipline and sees the arts as a vital part of our human experience.
