Songwriter. Sideman. Fool.

About Me

Kev is a well-toured multi-instrumental sideman (drums/bass/guitar - Steven Bowers, Blou, Norma MacDonald, Charlie A'Court), and an increasingly busy solo artist in his own right.
His first solo album - a stick-twirling prog-folk tour de force entitled Clumsy - is both a love letter, and a thesis on home, love, regret, hope, and finding peace amidst chaos.
(It may also be the only record you'll ever hear which melds a kazoo solo, a sermon from 1931, Tibetan throat-singing, didge, a rainstorm, a crowbar, garbage cans, a marching band, jinglebells, and a kid's chorus, against a backdrop of allegedly singer-songwriter acoustic guitar songs, and STILL makes sense.)
Kev is working hard on his second album, Four Eyes. He was recently selected as a finalist for the 2007 Telluride Troubadour Competition at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Telluride, Colorado, and does regular trips to Club Passim's Cutting Edge of the Campfire Festival and across Canada.
Sideguywise, Kev is a trained orchestral Percussionist (MtA) and 25-year Drummer, has developed a Hand Drum method of his own, tends to get hired as a Bassist, although he is getting more and more work these days on Guitar and Mandolin. He sings, shows up on time, plays a very consistent and lively show from night to night, and cases out the good food and good coffee in whatever town he visits.
