About Me

How I made my profile:
I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace editor .SET FREE SUNG LIVE BY SUSU AT THE WMC 2007Over five years ago I met SuSu Bobien at Soundmen on Wax's Studio on Fulton Street in New York City. SuSu heard my song "Rejoice" that I wrote for Tonni (Funkin' for Jamaica) Smith and asked me if I could write her a song for her album too..... I was honored and thought about a song I wrote many years ago called "Soul Free" that would be perfect for her, and when Shuji gave me a track to write to for SuSu's new song, I immediately incorporated it into the groove and now we have "Set Free" which was released in 2003.This song is a personal testimony for many people, me and SuSu included -- A whole lot of sweat and tears went into it. One day I called SuSu up to do another session and she started crying (LOL!!!!!!!!!) because we had already done about 15++ vocal sessions, had problems with lost vocals, stolen equipment, erased files, bad recordings, etc.... But there was also laughter, excitement and anticipation.Current Discography:Rejoice (SOW 2003) Set Free (SOW 2006) Can’t Nobody (SOW 2007) One Love (2007) Too Many Nights (Beatmonkey Records 2008) All Over Me (2006) Just Like Fire (2007) Come As You Are (2006) Wonderous (Code Red 2007) EveryThang (Slaag 2008) Praise Always (GKF Records 2008) I Got My Pride (DivaDownRecords)I'm really excited about my Pride song – I think it’s going to be one of those timeless songs that will be played forever. This song is dedicated to every human being on this earth to sing and be proud of whoever and whatever they're about. "IVE GOT NO REGRETS, SHOW NO REMORSE, FOR WHO I AM, NO APPOLOGIES" The song has been remixed for me by Heavy Grinder (Dub), Peter Presta (Dub), and SCPHASE 2 (Vox), My friends at H&H did a mix that's not complete yet and I’m waiting to do one more full vox mix -- then I’m going to release it MYSELF. There were about two other DJ's that were supposed to remix it, but they flaked out on me...I did however send them the vox and they should know that if I hear my shit anywhere it ain't supposed to be they will be answering to my pig attorney.I have also written a song for Robin S that she is adding her talents to and arranging with her daughter entitled: "Come As You Are."Additionally, I have two completed singles with Tonni Smith that I wrote and worked on the melody with her.... One Love and Too Many Nights - both of which have been remixed by H&H Soul Survivors and another remix of One Love by DJ AX - who is AWESOME.I just finished recording with Dawn Tallman, a single called Everything and am waiting for it to be released on Slaag Records. Also, I am looking forward to recording a new song with none other than KENNY BOBIEN entitled "JUST LIKE FIRE" and am also going to work with Ambrosia on a song called "Touch Me" with an AWESOME track by Duce Martinez.....And I'd be remiss not to mention a very special woman that is representing my interests overseas... Carol (GROOVEJUNKIEDIVA) - an awesome talent and a business savy shark of a broad - she don't play - she has been responsbile for putting me in touch with Lee Hesler of H&H who has done some amazing remixes!I'm am continually BLESSED and look forward to what else shall come my way....And He hath put a new song into my mouth...Ps.40:3THIS IS KAREN CLARK'S TESTIMONY... IT'S VERY MOVING...TAMELLA MANN - ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS EVER....MORE DIVA PIX....
