Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott tribute band The Black Rose was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1995. Over the years the band has played a great number of jobs in Denmark. Apart from Denmark the band has played twice in Phil Lynott’s hometown, Dublin.
In 2000 the band headlined the annual “Vibe for Philo†in Dublin with the former Thin Lizzy-member Eric Bell as supporting act!
2006 was launched in manner when The Black Rose honoured the 20th anniversary of the death of Phil Lynott with a concert featuring Danish artists as well as artists from abroad. Among these was a remarkably energetic Brian Robertson who gave the Danish Thin Lizzy-fans an amazing experience!
2007 will hopefully see The Black Rose returning to Dublin for the 21st “Vibe for Philoâ€...stay tuned for more info.
