..the beginning...The story of Overlord begins in early 2002, when, tired of wasting time on unsuccesfull projects, I decided that I
wanted to work on my own. This was the time of experimenting with different recording techniques, and various types of
equipment, like quitar amplifiers, distorsions, etc... When I started to work on this material, I was pretty
aware that I couldn`t afford any kind of expensive equipment; my only equipment was pentium III, on 750Mhz. Now as I think
of these days, I suppose that noone but myself actually belived that I was capable of carrying out the whole process. Still,
I had help from my friends, who were willing to lend me their instruments. Big thanks to all of them!...the name...The story of the Overlord`s name goes back to 1998 and 1999. Back in those days, I was under impression of great Norwegian
balck metal band, Emperor, and their finest album, "Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk". Never in my whole life have I had such
impression of majesty, strength, and art, never untill I started to understand the greatness of this record. It was the time
when I realized that I wanted to be in a band that will carry the name of glory; band who`s very name shakes the Earth,
and moves the mountains, just like the name of Emperor sounds. I don`t really know how the name Overlord appeared in my head,
but I`m sure that it was spontanious, just like someone granted me a vision on me. And, in a moment, I knew that Overlord
would be the real answer for me.I feel that it would be significant to say that the name Overlord doesn`t have anything to do with the WW2 operation
"Overlord". Some people were asking me about this, so I would like to have this thing cleared up....the inspiration...As time went by, I had the growing sense of tension all over my stomach - it was something that I felt inside so strong;
a sense that I was holding something real deep inside of me, that needed to be turned into a music. I guess that it`s the
most improtant thing about music of Overlord - it isn`t made for showing off! This music presents my soul, my emotions and
thoughts. It is very personal, and it should be understood as such....the fight goes on...The year of 2003 was crucial for Overlord. It was the time when the first versions of my songs were recorded. I guess that,
back in those days, I was still developing as a musician, and as a person. The reason why it took 4 years for this demo to be
recorded, was that I needed to put everything into one scheme, one story. Also, I wanted to have the best sound possible.
And, let`s not forget the fact, this demo was recorded on computer.It would be interesting to know that it was the time when my friend, Ivan Ciric, the artist, made the Overlord`s logo.I wasn`t very happy with the first recording results. The first versions were roughly recorded, with bad production. I knew
that I needed something better than this. Soon after that, I found a perfect combination of guitar and distorsion (thanks
to METAL ZONE). I started to record all the song all over again. It is the result of those recordings that, today,
carries the name "The Order Of The Iron Cross".It is a very long road from the point when you don`t have anything, to the point where you actually hold your own audio
material in your hands. Only the ones who lived thruogh all this know what it really means. That`s what life is all about -
struggle and fight!...The Order Of The Iron Cross...My first demo CD carries the name "The Order Of The Iron Cross". The artwork is done by Ivan Ciric. The whole music is
written and played by myself, with the exception of the "Dark Is My Soul" song. The chorus melody is orriginally written by
A. Borodin, Russian composer, and the growl vocals belong to my best friend, Milan Slavkovic. Slava!The whole material is 32 minutes long; there are six songs, and an intro.The lyrics are in English, and will not be
available, yet. At this point, I don`t feel the urge to explain any of my lyrics. Let the songs speak for themselves....the future...This days, I`m starting to gather material for my next CD. There will be some changes, both musicall and lyrical. It will be
something more mature; I`m taking the higher road on this one. When I have something new, I will surely post it here. Until
